The main objectives of the Achievers International programme are to:
- empower all students to develop their key skills and entrepreneurial attitudes;
- give students an insight into the challenges and methods by which businesses are formed and managed;
- increase awareness and understanding of other cultures, citizenship and globalisation;
- promote modern technology within schools and emphasise the importance of ICT skills through the everyday use of on-line training materials, video conferencing and e-mail;
- provide a practical learning context for teaching foreign languages and business studies;
- encourage parents and the business community to volunteer their services and become actively involved in supporting and working with local schools.
The programme provides development opportunities for members of staff and allows cross-curricular activities between various departments, for example, languages, business studies, geography, etc. Achievers International also creates unique opportunities for media coverage by highlighting the school's/college's progressive image locally and nationally.
