UK schools participating in Achievers International can now apply for the DCSF International School Award. We have been working closely with the British Council, who manage the ISA, and now schools can use Achievers to contribute towards the criteria.

The Award is an accreditation scheme for curriculum-based international work in schools. It is open to all UK schools and is free of charge. Achievers is an excellent example of an activity that counts towards the ISA since it involves collaboration between pupils in both schools working on a joint project; it is cross-curricular - including maths, ICT, business studies and MFL - and it is a whole-school initiative, whether pupils are running the business or placing an order for an imported product.

The deadline for submitting your action plan for ISA accreditation in 2010 is 13th November 2009 and by working on Achievers International schools are eligible for the Intermediate level of the award right now!
